Newsletter Format
by CARLOS MICELI
My newsletter is something I take very seriously. I always do my best to provide kick-ass weekly issues. People that sign up have given me permission to talk to them, and I feel I owe them the best value package I can offer. Don’t worry, I still strive to provide great value on the site as well, but my newsletter gives me more freedom to play around with all sorts of content.
If you’re interested in knowing what kind of content you’ll receive, below you’ll find the newsletter structure all my issues follow. I try to provide content in all categories every week to the best of my ability, but things like product giveaways and personal updates, for example, may not be present in every issue.
Here’s what each newsletter includes:
Book recommendation (with notes)
I read a lot. Each week, I’ll recommend a new book that I’ve read recently or in the past. I’ll also attach some of my favorite excerpts of the book, and a short review.
Personal and professional updates
If I move to a new country, start a new project, make some change on the website, or switch to a new diet, I’ll say it here. Don’t worry, I won’t tell you if I broke up with a girl, or if I scored a great goal on a soccer game. The idea is to keep you updated on what might be relevant to the site.
Links
Because of the inherent serendipity of my Google Reader, I stumble across all sorts of cool articles and posts online. Here’s where I’ll share the best of each week with you.
Quotes
I blame Josh Kaufman. He turned me into a quote and aphorism fanatic. I collect these nuggets of wisdom from varied sources, but I’ll share my favorites here.
Random musings
Any thought that I forgot to write on the blog, will go here. I’ll try to keep it short. The idea is to provide a quick spark for your own reflections.
Products and Resources
I’m always on the lookout for potential businesses, authors, entrepreneurs, etc. willing to give away some value to my subscribers. When I find it, I’ll make sure to send it this way.
If you’re interested in this type of content, I encourage you to sign up to the newsletter below. You can expect to receive each issue every Saturday morning:
Remember that you can always get in touch with me to say, share or ask anything you’d like. I welcome feedback, constructive criticism, and interesting conversations.
